One player at every Premier League club who should get a new contract
In recent weeks, several high profile Premier League stars have signed new contracts with their current clubs.Dele Alli at Tottenham and Raheem Sterling at Manchester City are the best examples, earning new deals thanks to outstanding form over the last few years.Manchester City star Raheem Sterling now earns around 300,000 a week.13
Manchester City star Raheem Sterling now earns around 300,000 a week.
But which one player at every top-fight club should get a contract extension like Alli and Sterling? Here talkSPORT.com looks at the stars who deserve new deals whether it be down to performances, potential, their current one expiring, or even just to help provide experience and excellent depth.Find out who we’ve picked below… Arsenal Nacho Monreal (contract expires in June 2019)The experienced Spaniard hasnt been able to get too many games under his belt this campaign due to injuries but hes a valuable asset for the Gunners and even if an extension only gives him an extra year it would be extremely valuable to have a leader like Monreal stick around while manager Unai Emery continues to change the squad up at the Emirates.Monreal has been a key player for Arsenal since moving to north London in 201313

Bournemouth Ryan Fraser (contract expires in June 2020)We hate to alarm Cherries fans but one of your top performing players is about to enter the last 18 months of his deal. The stocky creator has excelled this season as Eddie Howe begins an evolution at the Vitality Stadium, scoring three goals and making six others. Hes a key part of a front three with Callum Wilson and David Brooks so signing him up for the long-term would be smart.Ryan Fraser’s excellent form has been a highlight for the Cherries this campaign.13

Brighton and Hove Albion Mat Ryan (contract expires in June 2022)Okay, hes got plenty of time left on his deal, but with reports Manchester United are sniffing around, then it might be worth improving the Australians terms. Hes proven to be a quality addition and is deserving of a new contract, especially if it does ward off suitors.Mat Ryan joined Brighton from Valencia in 201713

Burnley Robbie Brady (contract expires in June 2022)Giving a new deal to someone just back from injury might be risky but the Irishman is more than likely to offer the Clarets some serious improvement as he returns to fitness. If Burnley let his contract go too close to expiration they could lose a talented player for peanuts.Cardiff City Aron Gunnarsson (contract expires in June 2019)He penned a one-year extension in the summer and many felt he might not cope with the jump up to Premier League football. Hes done well as the Bluebirds battle for survival though, especially when you consider he was thrown straight into action after a long-term injury.Chelsea Eden Hazard (contract expires in June 2020)This wont surprise too many people. The Belgium will continually be linked with a move to Real Madrid until his future is committed to the Blues. Hazard is 27 years old and is no doubt looking for the major payday his talent demands. If he does get offered the terms he wants, Hazard may well sign and become a bona fide legend at Stamford Bridge.Hazard has been in scintillating form for Chelsea this season13

Crystal Palace Luka Milivojevic (contract expires in June 2020)The Serbian midfielder has proven to be an inspired signing since joining from Olympiakos in January 2017. Hes now captain thanks to his leadership on the pitch, while his accuracy from the penalty spot has won the Eagles many points. Hes only got a year and a half left on his current deal and at 27 years old this would be the perfect time to extend his time at Selhurst Park.Everton Michael Keane (contract expires in June 2020)Rather sensibly, the Toffees have most of their priorities in order when it comes to contracts, leaving us without much choice. Given Keanes return to form hes perhaps the most deserving of new terms for the Toffees right now, although youngster Tom Davies, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Seamus Coleman, and Jonjoe Kenny will all vie for a deal.Fulham Ryan Sessegnon (contract expires in June 2020)The 18-year-old may not quite be adapting to the Premier League as they had imagined after his excellent Championship form, but Sessegnon is young and has huge potential. Interest in the player may be on the wane, so now could be the perfect time to hand him a pen to sign a nice new contract.Sessegnon was central to Fulham’s promotion push last year13

Huddersfield Town Mathias Zanka Jorgensen (contract expires in June 2020)A real talent at the heart of the Terriers defence, its going to be tough to hang on to the Dane. The club would be wise to get him on a longer-term deal to avoid losing him for a pittance.Leicester City Nampalys Mendy (contract expires in June 2020)After a tough start to life with the Foxes, Mendy has returned from a loan spell back with former side Nice and looked a real star. He looks comfortable alongside team-mate Wilfred Ndidi with his positioning and passing allowing James Maddison and others to function in more attacking roles.Liverpool Georginio Wijnaldum (contract expires in June 2021)Its likely an extension for James Milner is an urgent matter of business, even if it is just for one more year, but the Dutchman should be the next recipient. A brilliant professional with an excellent work ethic, hes the perfect successor to Milner himself and already wants to remain at Anfield for the foreseeable future.Wijnaldum scored a brilliant header to help the Reds beat Spurs 2-1 at Wembley13

Manchester City Phil Foden (contract expires in June 2020)In the next two seasons, several important City stars have contracts running out. Vincent Kompany, Fernandinho, David Silva, and Ilkay Gundogan could all leave, but the most important thing for manager Pep Guardiola is not losing wonderkid Foden. With Jadon Sancho already proving himself away from the club, letting the 18-year-old midfielder go would be a mistake of epic proportions.Foden has the potential to be one of the best in the world13

Manchester United David De Gea (contract expires in June 2019)Unless reports suggesting the Red Devils will replace an exiting De Gea with Atletico Madrids Jan Oblak are true, De Gea must be made to sign a new contract, no matter what he takes. If it wasnt for the Spaniard the club would be in a worse state than they currently are.De Gea has been named Man United’s Player of the Year four times in the last five seasons13

Newcastle United Jonjo Shelvey (contract expires in June 2020)Still only 26, Shelvey has plenty to offer the Magpies if his contract is extended. If Rafael Benitez is ever given money to improve his forward line, Shelvey is the perfect man to feed them with his mix of defensive play and creativity.Southampton Charlie Austin (contract expires in June 2020)There arent many who deserve new deals with the Saints right now but Austin may well be someone worth keeping around for a little longer. Hes certainly up for the battle and, with his unquestionable spirit, can at least be a guiding light even if he isnt starting games.Tottenham Hotspur Christian Eriksen (contract expires in June 2020)Spurs have several stars with contracts needing to be ironed out in the coming months. Toby Alderweirelds is perhaps not as pressing as it once was with his hamstring injury clearly taking away some of his pace and Jan Vertonghen is set to have a one-year extension activated. So this leaves Eriksen the most pressing matter. Without the Dane, Spurs lack creativity and losing him permanently would require an exceptional midfield signing to replace him.Eriksen is reportedly wanted by some of Europe’s top clubs, including Real Madrid13

Watford Roberto Pereyra (contract expires in June 2021)The Argentine has been a real success story this season. An injury curtailed his first season after a promising start and last year he was still acclimatising to Premier League. Now hes proving his talent and despite having two-and-a-half years left on his current deal the Hornets might need to improve his terms to keep hold of him.Argentine ace Pereyra has been in fine form13

West Ham United Declan Rice (contract expires in June 2019)This is a no-brainer. That the versatile youngsters situation hasnt been sorted yet reflects badly on the Hammers. His excellent displays should have been well rewarded long ago and his consistency makes a mockery of those who havent improved his current terms.Rice’s rise to prominence has been remarkable13

Wolverhampton Wanderers Conor Coady (contract expires in June 2021)Dont be fooled, Wolves success in the last two years hasnt just been down to their Portuguese dealings. Coady has been masterful at the back for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side. Even Alan Shearer reckons he should be getting an England call-up so its vitally important the club reward his good performances.Coady has developed into a top centre-back and a leader since leaving Liverpool for Wolves in 201513
